Harbor Beach is the most self-contained address in Fort Lauderdale: a gated peninsula with a private beach club, a members' marina, and deep water that reaches the Port Everglades inlet without passing under a single fixed bridge. For an owner whose boat is the reason they are in South Florida, that combination is close to unique on this coast. The community is entirely residential, largely single-family, and deliberately quiet — it sits behind one entrance and generates no through traffic at all.
Harbor Beach is a private, gated waterfront community at the south end of Fort Lauderdale beach, with its own beach club and a set of deep-water canals with direct ocean access and no fixed bridges.
It is entirely single-family and small, so availability is limited and infrequent. What is on offer is a combination that is hard to replicate: large waterfront lots, serious dockage, and a private beach, inside a city rather than an hour from one.
As in every deep-water market, the dock is a large part of the purchase. Frontage, canal width, depth at low tide and turning room matter as much as the house, and they are all verifiable before an offer is made.
